Evaluation is very important in the successful development of a software product’s form and function.

Development - is the act or process of growth, process or evolution, sometimes through iterative improvements

Form - concerns the overall shape and configuration of a product. It relates to aspects such as aesthetics, shape, colour and texture.
Function - The function of a solution refers to what it has been designed to do and how effective it is at enabling that action to be performed.

The school canteen is looking for new ways for students to be able to order food. They are not sure what solutions might be available. They need your help as a computer engineer to provide a solution which fits into their daily running of the canteen but also allows an improvement in the current system. Can you help them?
The (GOAL) ‘Create a mobile app which allows students to order food one day in advance from their mobile phones ’.
(ROLE) You are a computer software engineer who creates solutions for the local community (AUDIENCE)
You will use the design process (SITUATION) to improve the efficiency of food ordering at the CSS Canteen (PRODUCT) which is currently a mix of verbal ordering and point and click ordering which allows students to (PURPOSE) choose from the day’s menu (PERFORMANCE) at speed eliminating ordering errors.
You will be judged on the following (STANDARDS) :
Criterion A How well you inquire into and analyze the existing ordering system
Criterion B How well you develop your ideas for a new ordering system
Criterion C H0w well you plan and create a new solution
Criterion D How well you evaluate the effectiveness of your design process by
testing and evaluating your solution
Constraints
The product must involve storage of data: storing from one page to another;
The product must be able to show the organisation of data;
The product must include at least 3 or more choices in the menu
